City Hunter- Mia’s Anime Review

Posted on Posted in Anime
Beauty is itself a sinful thing. It can lead a man’s heart astray.

General Information

Before City Hunter was adapted into four animated television series, it was a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Tsukasa Hojo. Published by Shueisha and serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump from 1985 to 1991, City Hunter gained special attention from the readers as well as the viewers since it contains lots of action scenes. Then, its adaptation was extended to three television specials, two original video animation, an animated feature film, Hong Kong live action starring laga actor Jackie Chan and a Korean live-action featuring handsome and famous actor Lee Min Ho.

Synopsis

The series portrayed about a man named Ryo Saeba. He worked as an assassin and a private detective in Tokyo. However, don’t get too serious and have this impression that it’s all about how sadistic an assassin might kill his target or that it has a complicated political story. You would feel the opposite when you’re watching this anime. Rather than tensed, its story flows smoothly with some hilarious scenes. Of course, this series will also accompanied by some romance between Ryo and his partner’s sister named Kaori. However, Kaori is very susceptible and jealous, often hitting RyΓ΄ with a giant hammer when he does something perverted. (Poor Ryo😝😝😝)

Things that you will love about City Hunter

Character

Ryo Saeba

All of you will be amused by his ability to target the gun properly. He was once raised as a guerilla fighter. What makes him so cool is his knowledge about revolvers, semiautomatic guns, machine-pistols, rifles, carbines and crossbows. This show is truly amazing and astonishing. I never regret on watching this series. His only sin is he is that he is way too interested in women, in the level of perversion if I was allowed to say so. It’s quite heartbreaking to see he played around with all the beautiful ladies around him while Kaori laid her eyes and heart on him.

Kaori Makimura

Here comes the girl!!!! I should give her a round of applause. Her skill in shooting and targeting are in the same level as Ryo. She is a cool girl despite being tomboy. What makesΒ City Hunter way too funny is when Ryo and Kaori pick on fights or arguments, but both of them actually form a great team together.

Hideyuki Makimura

Unfortunately, we can’t watch his action till the end of the series. He was murdered by gangsters in a fight. Being a good brother, he asked Ryo to take care of his sister, Kaori. How considerate he is πŸ™πŸ™

Scenes

City Hunter will never go wrong although it contains 50 episodes. I can’t get enough of the fighting scenes. Ryo turns into a serious person whenever he is in a fight. Every action scene is outstanding and he steals the spotlight from this series. Really, this anime is the perfect one to kill the time, especially for those who are having a long school holiday. Try watching City Hunter and you will know what I mean. I found myself drawn to it especially as I go nearer to the series’ conclusion bit by bit .

Conclusion

Overall, this anime deserve two thumbs-up since it brings a different plot story in its era which dominates mostly by romance genre. Yush… Noting this,Β City Hunter remains memorable and a positive one at that. πŸ˜˜πŸ˜˜πŸ˜˜πŸ‘πŸ»πŸ‘πŸ»πŸ‘πŸ»

Bang!!!!😎😎 There he shoots right in your heart πŸ’žπŸ’ž
