Pokémon XY: A Review On Ash’s Kalos Region Journey

Posted Leave a commentPosted in Anime

The Pokémon XY Series first aired on October 17, 2013. It ran strong for over 3 years and officially ended back in October 27, 2016. The 6th Generation of the Pokémon anime not only redeemed itself after the disgrace that was Black and White (which I still think deserves some credit), but it ranks up there as one of the best. So, it’s the perfect time to take a trip down the memory lane. Let’s look back at what was the best Pokémon anime has offered since Advanced Generation, and even for the Original Season for that matter. Pokémon XY: Its Comparison With Black And White It’s certainly not the opinion of many, but there are others out there who think that the Black and White series was a huge failure. I’m one of those people who actually liked Black and White. However, I’m willing […]

Posted Leave a commentPosted in Anime

Feast your eyes on the beautiful art of Norn9: Norn+Nonet! I can almost hear the groans from people who don’t like reverse harem anime. But hey! This one has absolutely beautiful animations although the plot needs a bit of fixing. This will be my last review, so let’s make it count! General Information Norn9: Norn+Nonet is originally an otome game for Playstation Portable. It was developed by Otomate and published by Idea Factory. In 2014, an anime adaptation for the franchise became green-lit. Additionally, the anime series ran from January to March 2016. Synopsis The story takes place in a futuristic era. Guided by one particular song, Suzuhara Sorata finds himself in a time skip. He lands in a place that looks similarly like the towns from the Meiji or Taishou periods. He then meets three young ladies and nine young men about a ship […]

Pokémon the Movie: I Choose You!: A Review By Earl

Pokémon the Movie: I Choose You! aims to retell the funny yet touching story of how Ash and Pikachu first met. It also shows how they became the closet of friends, and in that regard, it’s successful. Moving on, the movie emphasizes the importance of friendship above anything else with an energetic presentation full of obscenely cute and charming Pokémon. FUN FACT: The title of the movie is the same title for the very first episode of the entire Pokémon series. Everything plays out as you’d expect, until the end where things take a sharp turn into some cringe-worthy material. This ultimately leaves things on a sour, awkward note; to be honest. Pokémon the Movie: I Choose You!: The Short Review Essentially, this movie is all about Ash’s Greatest Hits from Season 1, only stuck in fast-forward mode. We see a ton of pivotal moments like […]

Pokémon Black and White: A Review On Ash’s Unova Journies

I know a lot of the fan base is going to curse me for this, but I LOVE THE BLACK AND WHITE (Best Wishes in Japanese) SEASON of Pokémon. The hate for this series is utter nonsense and the constant “Ice Cream Pokémon” criticism is starting to get old. It’s actually much better than it looks and if people would stop comparing it with the Original Season, Advanced Generations and the Diamond and Pearl Season. You’d be able to see how old school the Black and White season really is. Story wise, it starts off as all new Pokémon seasons do with Ash Ketchum setting out on a new adventure. Yet, he’s still 10 years old. How does this guy never age? Teach me your secrets master! Anyway, he sets out on a journey to a brand new region with butt-loads of brand new Pokémon […]

Pokémon Diamond and Pearl: An Honest Review By Earl

When you think of a series that’s been done to death, Pokémon is usually the first to come to mind. While I grew up watching and loving the original Pokémon series as a kid and dabbed in Pokémon Advanced, I found myself wondering if anyone still likes the series. In all honesty, this was the time when I found myself becoming less of a fan ever since high school happened. However, I still enjoyed the franchise as a kid as it offered something I always wanted to go on: that is on an adventure. For most people, Ash as the main protagonist isn’t very appealing. However, what I loved about him is that he never gives up in pursuing his dreams. And he can be too kind to other people as well. I then decided to ask a friend about their opinion about the Diamond and Pearl […]
