Blue Exorcist Anime Review

Breakdown The idea of Satan himself having a son isn’t exactly a novel one. We’ve seen it used quite a number of times before and here we’re gonna see it again. However what if we took that and combined it with a world where a secret war has long been ongoing between men and demons? The only thing standing between demons infiltrating the veil between worlds being highly trained exorcists overseen by the Vatican itself. Welcome to the premise of Blue Exorcist also known as Ao no Exorcist. Its long been a popular manga and sounds quite interesting on paper but is the anime worth its weight or should you look elsewhere? Read on and see what we had to say about it. Synopsis Blue Exorcist is, at its core, a typical Shonen Manga made into an anime. A young teenager, Rin Okumura lives with his brother Yukio Okumura […]

Cardfight Vanguard: Card Game Anime Of The Century

Posted on Leave a commentPosted in Anime

Cardfight Vanguard has quickly risen up the anime ranks and it’s currently, in my opinion, the third greatest show to have existed. The series controversially decided to leave the old cast for us to get a sequel series in the form of Cardfight Vanguard G. There’s no doubt that the sequel will be great. However, the fact of me thinking that this is a grave mistake is unavoidable. It’ll be extremely challenging to pass this series. If you’re the kind who loves action and good visuals, you’ve definitely come to the right place. Cardfight Vanguard: The First Season Season 1 of the anime is around 70 episodes and it starts the franchise off on a high note. Cardfight Vanguard is a mysterious game that suddenly came to the world. In the midst of it all, Aichi Sendou is your average student who’s a bit timid, […]

Eureka 7: A Mecha Anime with a Twist

Posted on Leave a commentPosted in Anime

Today, I decided to review Eureka 7, one of the few mecha anime shows out there. The entire show is about two main characters and their relationship with one another. The real question is, did they get things right? Well, that’s a bit complicated in my own personal opinion. I’ll just cover it all here in my review. Now, let’s get on with the review. Eureka 7: The Good First of all, Studio Bones is the creative mind behind Eureka 7. Although it doesn’t really take any chances. In terms of design, they’re very well-made. The characters are east to differentiate because all of them are quite unique. To add, the themes that this show presents also proves to be one of its strong points. Compared to mecha shows that came before it (and even after), Eureka 7 handles a range of extraordinary themes to […]

“Freedom, isn’t something earned through suffering or pushing yourself. You must accept yourself just as you are and live according to the flow of things; that is true freedom.” -Monk Zuikou   A look into the world of Samurai Champloo Plot The series begins with the soon to be execution of two rebels, Mugen and a ronin samurai Jin. However the series immediately cuts to a short period before hand to explain how the situation evolved. A series of events that occur in parallel leads to the two men clashing. However, they cannot continue their fight and instead find themselves possibly being executed. This is because they angered the same powerful man through their actions. Unwilling to die, they manage to free themselves and fight for their lives, despite being outnumbered. It is at this point that Fuu-chan, a girl affected by their earlier […]

Dragon Ball Super Review

Breakdown We all know about Dragon Ball and Dragon Ball Z, especially the latter for many. This anime franchise has fans both young and old and has been around for decades. We’ve seen protagonist Goku go from a spunky child to a still childish but responsible parent. All the while saving the world from perils possessing unbelievable power. In the same fun and action packed spirit, Dragon Ball Super aims to continue this legacy. Does it make good on this promise and live up to its legendary roots however? Or does it instead falter and waver where it shouldn’t? Keep reading and we’ll tell you what we thought about this new foray into the Dragon Ball world. Synopsis With major threats to the planet such as Buu taken care of, Goku has settled in to life as a peaceful farmer. Despite being one of the most powerful […]

Earl & Fairy

A sneak peek Earl & Fairy is also known as Hakushaku no yousei. It was first published as a light novel in 2004 and then it was adapted into a manga and an anime series in 2008. I have watched the anime and took a glance at the manga but haven’t read the light novel yet. I have found out that the anime and manga are different from each other in many ways!!! All the characters are the same in both adaptations but with a great difference in the plot. For now allow me to review the anime with you guys The story Earl & Fairy took place in the 19th century – Victorian era – where fairy doctors became rare to find. Lydia Carlton is a fairy doctor living in Scotland among people who doesn’t believe in fairies so she struggles everyday trying to […]
